On 13 and 14 July, a delegation consisting of Carmen Gómez (Faculty of Law), Marta Nel·lo (Faculty of Tourism and Geography), Lluís Marsal (School of Engineering) and Mar Gutiérrez-Colón (member of the Faculty of Arts and Vice-Rector for Internationalisation) participated in the Faculty Development Program of Chandigarh University in India, with whom the URV has a collaboration agreement to facilitate the mobility of students on the URV’s bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering and tourism management and the mobility of teaching, research and administrative staff.

During the seminar, experts from different ambits worked with the Faculties to share advances in different areas. Each department organised a programme attended by professors from different ambits and which brought together professors, students and other services at the University.

The URV’s participation is part of its strategy to send researchers from different ambits to carry out the seminars and for them to determine what forms of collaboration can be established in different areas. The visit gave the URV the opportunity to present its research and postgraduate courses with a view to Chandigarh University sending its students to the URV for joint research and thesis supervision. Furthermore, Chandigarh University expressed its interest in sending bachelor’s students to the URV for short study visits during which they could register for subjects at different faculties and schools. The programme included visits to faculties and meeting with students.

From 16 to 21 September, the dean of the School of Architecture, Pau de Solà-Morales, and the School’s mobility and teaching staff coordinator, Roger Miralles, visited Chandigarh University to participate in the International Conference on Trends in Architecture and Construction.
