The International University of Rabat in Morocco is a partner university of the URV in the international mobility project Erasmus+ KA107
The International University of Rabat held the second edition of the international Study Abroad fair on 13 February. It was a one-day event whose main purpose was to inform Moroccan students about mobility opportunities (international agreements and Erasmus+) for the 2018-19 academic year.
The UIR assigned each university its own stand so it could receive visitors and inform them about the courses it has to offer. The URV and UIR have recently signed an Erasmus+ agreement for the international mobility program KA107 for the period 2017-19, and this provided the URV with an opportunity to attend the fair, to promote mobility among students and to encourage them to register for its mobility programmes.
Through the grant KA107, Professor Abdelali El Aroudi of the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Automatic Engineering visited the UIR to attend the fair and to meet members of the Faculty of Informatics and Logistics. He was able to establish collaboration in teaching and research projects of mutual interest, such as the control of converters and their use in renewable energy technologies. Professor El Aroudi also led a six-hour seminar on the control of electronic power converters with members and students of the faculty.
The URV has signed Erasmus+ KA107 agreements with many universities around the world and is continuing to expand the number of destinations available to students.
