The Universitat Rovira i Virgili is celebrating its third International Staff Week from 8 to 12 May. This year’s edition will deal with “Best Practices in Comprehensive Internationalization”
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili started its specialized international staff weeks in 2015 and the themes of the previous two editions were “Internationalisation through courses for staff (SUCTI train the trainers)” in 2015 and “Strategic Internationalisation Planning” in 2016. To mark its 25th anniversary, the University is publishing a book on best practices in internationalisation consisting of a collection of articles by various professors, administrative staff, managers, etc. who will all be giving talks during the International Staff Week and sharing their best practices with participants. Participants will also have the opportunity to share one best practice from their home institution, thus enriching the experience of all those present.
The highlight of the programme will the presentation of the book on best practices by Professor John Hudzik from Michigan State University, who coined the term Comprehensive Internationalisation. He will also share his knowledge on comprehensive Internationalisation, what it means, why it is important and what key steps need to be taken to move forward.
