NAFSA, organised by the Association of International Educators, is the world’s biggest conference in the field of the internationalisation of Higher Education
Two representatives of the URV attended the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) conference alongside a further 9000 peers and experts in higher education from all over the world. The event took place in Philadelphia (USA) from 27 May to 1 June under the topic “Diverse voices, shared commitment“.
The URV’s two representatives from the International Center and the International Conference Center were Marina Casals and Blanca Domingo, who held meetings with partners, networked and identified new opportunities for the institution. This year, the URV also gave a well-attended and received session on the SUCTI project, which provides internationalisation courses for non-academic staff.
As at every edition of the NAFSA conference, the Catalan Interuniversity Council also organised a “Study in Catalonia” booth to promote international awareness of the Catalan higher education system, and a very well attended and successful reception with the starring participation of two alumni from Catalan institutions who now live and work in Philadelphia.
