The internationalisation of the URV marches on

Since the last publication of the newsletter, there have been several internationalisation activities

During the last week of April, the International Center organised a training course on the internationalisation of the curriculum for the staff of the Aurora Alliance, which was attended by 21 people from eight of the nine members of the Alliance. It also hosted a workshop and a meeting of the European project “Diverse Internationalisation of Teacher Education“, which seeks to internationalise teacher training and was attended by a representative by the Department of Education of the Catalan Government.

From 3 to 7 January, Imma Rosell, lecturer on the Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, and Ferran Mañé, from the Faculty of Economics and Business, gave a workshop at the 2023 International Students’ Conference of the Katolik Parahyangan University (Bandung, Indonesia), as one of the activities promoted by the INU network (International Network for Universities) to which the URV belongs.

Likewise, in the search for vocations to work in European institutions, Andrea Giner, a student at the FCEP of the URV, has been appointed EPSO ambassador for Catalonia. Last February she took part in a visit by students from all the Catalan universities to learn about these institutions, and, from now on, the URV is publicising the information.

In addition, at the beginning of the semester 40 mobility students joined the URV and a welcome day was organised for them. It should be noted that this year, the URV has welcomed 2,100 international students, surpassing pre-pandemic levels for the first time.

In this edition of the Newsletter, you will also find information on research such as the project led by Professor Jaume Camps on the thousands of Spaniards who were forced to work for the Pétain and Hitler regimes during World War II, the position of the URV in the latest world rankings and the renewal of the seal of HR Excellence in Research.

Internationalisation marches on!
