Cultural Day focuses on giving newcomers a cultural welcome and was held on Campus Catalunya with a turnout of more than forty students.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The reception, which was conducted in English, began with the \u201cLanguage quiz\u201d, a half-hour workshop which gave sociolinguistic information about the Catalan language, so that students became aware of the importance of Catalan as a modern language and the extent to which it is used at the University.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Afterwards, the students got to know each other in a \u201ccultural speed dating\u201d activity, and they ended the day by taking part in some traditional dances.
