{"id":149671,"date":"2026-03-06T11:20:48","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T10:20:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/?p=149671"},"modified":"2026-03-06T11:21:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T10:21:15","slug":"the-urv-joins-the-open-data-day-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/the-urv-joins-the-open-data-day-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"The URV joins the Open Data Day 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/opendataday.org\/\">Open Data Day<\/a> is an international initiative promoted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/okfn.org\/en\/\">Open Knowledge Foundation<\/a> with the aim of promoting the use and dissemination of open data worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commitment of the URV to Open Science<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Universitat Rovira i Virgili maintains its commitment to open science and responsible research data management. Since 2021, the URV has had its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urv.cat\/media\/upload\/arxius\/normatives\/propia\/altres_normes\/Pol.ins.acces%20obert%20recerca%20cat.pdf\">Institutional Open Access Policy for Research Data<\/a>, which establishes that data derived from publicly funded projects must be deposited openly using the resources the University provides to research staff.<\/p>\n<p>The URV\u2019s CRAI offers personalised guidance so that research staff can deposit research data with technical, legal, and quality guarantees, facilitating their publication in open access.<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/dataverse.csuc.cat\/dataverse\/URV\">RDR Research Data Repository<\/a>, the URV has deposited 98 datasets which have received more than 5,300 downloads.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Training activities for Open Data Day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To mark the celebration, the CRAI and the Institute of Education Sciences (ICE) have organised a PROFID training activity aimed at teaching and administrative staff, on 5 March at 10 a.m.: \u2018We help you publish in open access, prepare the data management plan and publish research data in open access\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, until 15 June 2026, two self\u2011learning courses will be available for teaching staff, administrative staff and doctoral students: \u2018Research data management in open access and data management plan&#8217; and \u2018Publishing in open access\u2019, available in Catalan, English and Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>Registration can be completed through ICE (for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.urv.cat\/ca\/formacio\/profid\/\">teaching staff<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.urv.cat\/ca\/formacio\/comptrans\/\">doctoral students<\/a>) and through the PTGAS Training Plan.<\/p>\n<p>You can find more information in the <a href=\"https:\/\/urv.libguides.com\/gestio_dades_recerca\/\">Research Data Management Guide<\/a> prepared by the URV\u2019s CRAI.Research Data Management Guide<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CRAI strengthens its support for research staff in preparing the data management plan and depositing research data.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":167,"featured_media":149582,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[797],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-149671","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-crai-en"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/149671","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/167"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=149671"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/149671\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/149582"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=149671"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=149671"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=149671"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
