Her particular degree course offers Iberian-Romance Studies as a specialty, which means that she is currently studying Catalan and Galician language and culture. She describes the immersion in Catalan language and culture at her university as intense and gratifying thanks to her professors, who get the students to celebrate important holidays such as Saint George\u2019s day or who invite Catalan writers to come and talk to students. \u201cIn the future I would like to work in the administration of cultural events and, ultimately, do a master\u2019s degree in translation and interpreting\u201d, she explains.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_45150\" aria-labelledby=\"figcaption_attachment_45150\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 1024px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/intercanviestudcatala181.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-45150\" src=\"http:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/intercanviestudcatala181-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/intercanviestudcatala181-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/intercanviestudcatala181-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/intercanviestudcatala181-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/diaridigital.urv.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/intercanviestudcatala181-800x600.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"figcaption_attachment_45150\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The URV student Marc de Bofarull, participating in the Caf\u00e8 Catal\u00e0.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Along with several other new international students from universities in Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Russia and the Czech Republic and researchers in Catalan from France and the UK, she participated in the Caf\u00e8 Catal\u00e0 exchange activity with students of the URV\u2019s Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Catalan Philology. The international activity took place in the Conference Room of the URV\u2019s Catalunya Campus. The activity is part of the Litterarum-M\u00f3ra d\u2019Ebre Cultural Mission, a literary fair that the students attended in M\u00f3ra d\u2019Ebre from 24 to 27 May. The event is organised by the Institut Ramon Llull (IRL) and the Litterarum.<\/p>\n<p>Among the URV students participating in the Caf\u00e8 Catal\u00e0 was Marc de Bofarull, who is currently in the fourth year of the Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Catalan Studies. \u201cI have always loved the language and I really enjoy reading and writing. I know exactly what I want to do in the future, I want to teach Catalan at secondary school level\u201d, he stated.<\/p>\n<p>During the Caf\u00e8 Catal\u00e0 the students had an informal conversation led by Gl\u00f2ria Estap\u00e9 from the IRL about lots of different subjects.
