\u00a0<\/strong>Linking English learning and games: that is the purpose of the European project StratApp with StratApp \u2013 The Art of Reading<\/em>, a mobile application which encourages university students to improve their reading comprehension in English.<\/p>\n

In a funny way, the app fosters the learning of new vocabulary, accelerates reading comprehension in academic texts and helps the student improve reading strategies.<\/p>\n

The use of the application is very simple. Once the player has signed in, a test will place him at the corresponding level (B1 or B2). From that point, players will be completing minigames and collecting badges until they successfully complete the full game. The objective is to familiarize the student with new and necessary strategies to become an efficient reader in English.<\/p>\n

The texts and activities have been designed by academics from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili<\/a> (URV) and the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona<\/a> (UAB), both located in Catalonia.<\/p>\n

An Erasmus+ Project, coordinated by the URV,<\/strong><\/h5>\n

StratApp, short for Strategies App<\/em>, is an E<\/a>rasmus+ Project, coordinated by the URV, with the participation of the UAB, the Wy\u017csza Szko\u0142a Lingwistyczna Cz\u0119stochowie, from Poland, and the Universit\u00e9 de Pau et des Pays de l\u2019Adour, from France.<\/p>\n

At the technological forefront, the app has been developed by Amistad<\/a>, whereas the Consorci de Serveis Universitaris de Catalunya<\/a> collaborates in the dissemination and generation of reports.<\/p>\n

The application is available for iOS<\/a> and Android<\/a> devices. Players can give feedback to StratApp \u2013 The Art of Reading<\/em> by filling out a survey available in Catalan<\/a>, Spanish<\/a>, English<\/a>, French<\/a> and Polish<\/a>. Your feedback will help us improving user\u2019s experience with the app.<\/p>\n
