In this Forum, an essay contest open to students and professionals is organized and this year the topic for the contest has been the notion of the \u201cRenaissance Man\u201d. The main aim of the Challenge Essay Award is to keep the human-oriented management philosophy of Peter Drucker alive in the minds of the young generation.<\/p>\n<p>The PhD fellow Babajide Muritala, who is part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urv.cat\/en\/research\/support\/programmes\/marti-franques\/cofund\/\">URV Mart\u00ed i Franqu\u00e8s COFUND programme<\/a>, has won the first prize in the student category with the essay \u201cDa Vinci\u2019s code for the Renaissance Manager\u201d. The essay explains the importance, through the figure of Leonardo da Vinci, of a transdisciplinary knowledge, as a key element to be a good management professional. The award includes, among other additional benefits, a cash prize of \u20ac 1,000.<\/p>\n<p>On November 21 and 22, all the contest finalists will meet at the Drucker Forum in Vienna, where they will receive their awards, and will also have the opportunity to meet leading management thinkers and practitioners from all over the world and to learn from one another.<\/p>\n<p>Babajide Muritala has a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering from the University of Ibadan (Nigeria) and has a Master&#8217;s degree in Business Management from the University of Nottingham (Malaysian campus).
