The grant will enable Professor Garc\u00eda to translate <em>Korm\u00e1k\u2019s Saga<\/em>, a 13th-century Icelandic manuscript, from old Icelandic to Catalan.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Garc\u00eda is one of the three people to have received the award in 2020, for which 25 people applied, and she is the first person in Spain to have been given it. The funding will enable her to stay from August to October later this year at the \u00c1rni Magn\u00fasson Institute for Icelandic Studies, which is located on the campus of the University of Iceland in Reykjavik and whose library houses the manuscripts of the saga.<\/p>\n<p>The URV researcher will carry out the first translation into Catalan of an Icelandic saga, which will be published by Adesiara Editorial.
