Dolors Setó is named as one of the 100 most influential persons on social media in the field of corporate social responsibility

It is the first time that the researcher from the URV’s Department of Business Management has entered this ranking, which is compiled every trimester by the University of Bath (United Kingdom)

For the first time, the researcher from the URV’s Department of Business Management, Dolors Setó, has been named in this ranking, which is put together by the University of Bath (UK) every three months. The ranking lists the 100 most influential academics and thinkers on social media in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Setó is 77th position from a list that includes celebrated exponents of CSR such as Archie B. Carroll and Edward Freeman.

The list is compiled by identifying which academics specialising in responsible business are the most active on social media. They must have a minimum score of 40 on Klout, a web service that measures the degree of influence of a person or brand on social media and gives it a score of between 1 and 100. The ranking also took into account whether the academics are full time members of economics faculties or business administration schools and whether they regularly tweeted on the subject of responsible business.

The publication of this ranking seeks to show how social media influence and support research activity in the world of responsible business and it is updated every three months.

Dolors Setó Pamies graduated in Business Administration and Management at the University of Barcelona and was awarded her doctoral degree by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. She is the principal researcher in the URV’s research group on Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Business Ethics (RESET). For more than 20 years she has taught and undertaken research in the Department of Business Management at the Faculty of Business and Economics. In 2013 she received the URV Social Council Prize for Teaching Quality for her project that seeks to integrate ethics and corporate social responsibility into the training received by future directors. She has published various articles in international journals and in 2016 she was appointed to the Respon.cat Academic Council, a business initiative aimed at promoting social responsibility in Catalonia.
