On January 12, the CRAI campus Catalonia of the Rovira i Virgili University hosted the presentation of the exhibition ‘Silenced Voices’, an initiative promoted by the Journalism for Peace Working Group of the Journalists’ Association of Catalonia that pays tribute to journalists murdered in conflict zones, especially in Gaza, Lebanon and Israel.
The event included a talk by veteran journalist and retired professor Xavier Giró —co-founder of the organizing group— and was attended by Olga Garcia Camps, curator of the exhibition. During the session, the importance of journalism as a guarantor of the right to information was highlighted and reflection was held on the risks faced by communication professionals in war zones.
After a tour that has taken the exhibition through the different CRAIs of the URV since April 2025, Veus silenciades ends its tour at the CRAI campus Catalunya —where the degrees in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication are taught— and can be visited until January 25, 2026.
