More than 300 students have come to the University this year through mobility programmes
About 150 international students participated in the welcome celebration organized by the URV at the Catalunya campus on 2 October. A total of 321 students have come to the URV from other countries through mobility programmes to do courses or start their master’s degree studies in the 2019-20 academic year.
The activity began in the Magna Classroom, where the Vice-rector for Internationalization, John Style, the Head of the International Centre, Marina Casals, and the Coordinator of the Language Service, John Bates, highlighted the mobility programme as a unique opportunity for life learning. An explanation of some aspects of the University, the city of Tarragona and the Catalan culture and language were given in English.
The celebration continued with a concert by the folk and traditional music group Faktoria Folk, closing with a final group photo and a snack at Plaça de la Concòrdia on campus.
