The URV welcomes the second semester international students

More than 150 students have come to the University this second semester through mobility programmes

About 50 international students participated in the second institutional welcome meeting organized by the URV at Campus Catalunya on 28th February. A total of 160 students have come to the URV from other countries through mobility programmes to do courses or start their doctoral studies in the 2019-20 academic year.

The meeting, jointly organized by The International Center and the Language Service of the URV, began in the Aula Magna, where the Vice-rector for Internationalisation, John Style, the Head of the International Centre, Marina Casals, and the Coordinator of the Language Service, John Bates, welcomed the students and highlighted the mobility programmes as a unique opportunity for life learning.

The activity continued with three workshops, which the students could enjoy: Catalan traditional dance (ball de gitanes), Catalan culture quiz and wine tasting. As a closing, participants could enjoy some snacks at Plaça de la Concòrdia on Campus Catalunya.
