URV has ten disciplines ranked among the best in the world according to Times Higher Education 2020

This ranking weighs the results of 13 indicators corresponding to the areas of teaching; research, citations, internationalisation and transfer

Times Higher Education (THE) has released the rankings of the best universities in the world in 11 disciplines. The URV is present in ten of these. Different universities are ranked depending on each discipline. Therefore, while in Physical Sciences there are 1,054 universities, in Education there are only 477 universities.

Compared to other universities in Spain, the best-positioned disciplines are Physical Sciences, where the URV is in second place with five other universities (Autonomous University of Madrid, Balearic Islands, Barcelona, ​​Pablo de Olavide and Laguna); Life Sciences, in third place, with the Autonomous University of Madrid; and Engineering and Technology, in fourth place with five other universities.

This ranking by knowledge areas uses the same system of weighting as the general THE ranking, which is based on 13 indicators corresponding to five main areas: Teaching, Research, Citations, Internationalisation and Transfer.
