The External Evaluation Committee of the Agency for the Quality of the University System of Catalonia resolves doubts about the operation of the IQAS

On Friday, June 13th, the Doctoral School of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili received the first visit of the External Evaluation Committee from the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya), as part of the certification process of its Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS). 

During the visit, the steering board of the Doctoral School presented the key aspects of the IQAS, highlighting its structure, operation, and mechanisms implemented to ensure continuous improvement in doctoral education quality. The main achievements since the system implementation were also discussed, along with examples of good practices.

The External Evaluation Committee had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify doubts about the system work, in a constructive dialogue that deepened the understanding of the School’s quality model.

This visit represents a fundamental step in the certification process, which aims to recognize the maturity and effectiveness of the SIGQ in managing the academic and administrative quality of doctoral programs. The IQAS certification is a requirement for   further institutional accreditation of the Doctoral School.
