At the beginning of every year, most Catalan universities make a group trip to Brussels where we attend the ACA (Academic Council Association) seminar “What’s New In Brussels?”. Here we are provided with the main news on European programmes, which will help us be more competitive and keep up to date. We make the most of being in Brussels to organize other meetings with, for example, the Catalan Government Delegation.

This year we met the new government delegate, Mr. Amadeu Altafaj Tardio, and the person in charge of education Mr. Toni Torras. They both listened to the needs of the Catalan universities and agreed to find ways to work together even more closely. This year, because of the international dimension of the Erasmus+ programme, the delegation of Catalan universities also held a meeting at the Directorate General of Education. All in all, very fruitful meetings that should help the URV to continue to move forward in the international sphere.
