URV students will be able to participate in summer schools in Russian universities and to undertake joint assignments in different subjects with Russian students
In April the URV signed a framework agreement with four Russian and three other Spanish universities regarding the exchange of students, research collaboration and the creation of double degrees. To determine the exact nature of the cooperation, faculty members from the two Russian universities, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) and the Russian Foreign Trade Academy, visited the URV last Monday where they met members of the faculties of Legal Sciences, Business and Economics, and Tourism and Geography.
Although in academic terms one of the objectives is to offer double degrees and joint qualifications, for now efforts are focused on enabling URV students to participate in summer schools in Russia and on Russian students studying at the URV through the Study Abroad programme.
Furthermore, students from both countries will be able to undertake joint assignments for some subjects in the frame of a system for international collaboration in distance learning.
In addition to the URV, the Russian universities will also visit the Universitat de Valencia, the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the Universidad de Oviedo, which are also members of the alliance promoted by the Secretary of State for Universities, Research, Development and Innovation of the Spanish Government.
