The Faculty of Economics and Business held the graduation ceremony for its official master’s students on Friday, 26 June, at 5:00 p.m., in the Faculty’s Aula Magna. The ceremony was presided over by the Dean, Victòria Sánchez Rebull.
The event brought together graduates from the Master’s Degree in Business Administration and the Master’s Degree in International Markets, along with their families, academic staff and members of the university community, in a celebration recognising the students’ academic achievements and personal commitment.
Internationalisation continues to be one of the defining features of the Faculty’s official master’s programmes, which have strengthened their ability to attract students from around the world in recent years. In the Master’s Degree in International Markets, almost 80% of the students come from outside Spain, representing countries such as Jordan, Algeria, Russia, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Argentina, Serbia, Iran, Syria, Pakistan and China. Likewise, the Master’s Degree in Business Administration also has a distinctly international profile, with almost 45% of its students holding foreign nationalities, including Morocco, Romania, Andorra, Ecuador, Colombia, Italy, Bolivia, Cuba, France and Peru.
The ceremony began with welcoming remarks from the Dean. This was followed by an address from the coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Matías Ginieis Iribarren, before the student representatives, Letty Sánchez Carvajal and Jorge Iván Rangel Madrigal, spoke on behalf of their graduating class. The presentation of diplomas to the graduates of the programme then took place.
The second part of the ceremony was dedicated to the Master’s Degree in International Markets. Its coordinator, Xavier Ponce Alifonso, congratulated the graduates on their achievements, after which the student representative, Vladan Milosevic, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduating class. The presentation of diplomas to the graduates then followed.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from the Dean, who congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to embrace their future professional challenges while maintaining their commitment to lifelong learning, innovation and an international outlook. The performance of Gaudeamus Igitur, the traditional university anthem, brought the ceremony to a close, once again highlighting the international character of the Faculty’s official master’s programmes and its growing global profile.
