The University of Changzhou visited the URV in order to expand areas of study and collaboration between the two universities

A delegation from the University of Changzhou (CCZU) headed by its president, Professor Qun Chen, visited the URV on 20 October in order to strengthen the existing ties between the two institutions and to expand cooperation with the URV in the ambit of Chemical Engineering.

The URV’s Rector, Josep Anton Ferré, and the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation, Mar Gutiérrez-Colón, hosted a reception for the delegation, which was followed by a working meeting at the Centre for Hispanic Studies, hosted by its director, Esther Forgas and the Chinese teacher, Zhu Rongrong.

The delegation’s visit concluded with a visit to the School of Chemical Engineering and its laboratories at the Sescelades Campus, where they were received by the director of the School, Josep Bonet, and its assistant director, Allan Mackie.

The visit opened up new opportunities for collaboration between the URV and the CCZU such as projects for double bachelor’s and master’s degrees, increased Study Abroad collaboration and a proposal to expand the student exchange agreement to include students of chemical engineering.
