On Wednesday 20 April the International Center was visited by Professor Allison Witt, the director of the Office of International Programs at the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and head of Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership.
Professor Allison Witt attended a meeting on the subject of international mobility together with a delegate from the Faculty of Education Sciences and Psychology (FESP), a representative from the URV Foundation’s Lifelong Learning Center and a representative from the International Center.
The purpose of the meeting was to identify different potential forms of academic cooperation between the URV and the UIUC in the field of student and academic staff mobility. The meeting was very fruitful and we are now working on three lines of collaboration: the process of signing specific mobility agreements to allow student exchanges in both theoretical subjects and work experience placements in schools as part of their studies in the field of Education (managed by the International Center); the process of signing a specific agreement to allow UIUC students to carry out short stays at the URV in the framework of Study Abroad mobility programme (managed by the FURV); and initiation of discussions about possible joint activities in the virtual Master’s Degree on Educational Technology (managed by the FESP).
