The URV announces 51 grants for Master’s students

The call is open until 20 June and students who obtain the grants will be exempt from paying registration fees for the 2018-19 academic year.

The Universitat Rovira i Virgili has announced the call for Master’s Degree Grants for the 2018-19 academic year. Students have until 20 June to apply for a total of 51 grants, which will exempt students from paying registration fees for subjects they are taking for the first time.

The URV Master’s Degree Grants are intended to cover the cost of registration for new students who have pre-registered for a master’s degree for the next academic year. Students who are awarded a grant will only have to pay the administrative fees. The grant covers a maximum of 60 credits during the first year and, in the case of 90 or 120 credit master’s degrees, the cost of registration in the second year up to a maximum of 30 or 60 credits respectively. In addition, the grant includes a travel allowance of 1,000 euros for international students.

The University’s intention, therefore, is to offer access to master’s studies for students with excellent academic records and curriculums.

In addition to the 51 URV Master’s Degree Grants, nine grants are also available for students who have completed their undergraduate studies at one of the member universities of the Ibero-American University Association for Postgraduate Studies (AUIP in its Spanish initials). The AUIP Master’s Degree Grants also exempt students from tuition fees.

Students have until 15 May to register for Master’s Degrees for the coming academic year. A total of 54 degrees as well as 40 URV-specific degrees are offered.

All information on the conditions governing the application procedure can be found on the URV Master’s Grants webpage. The Grants, prizes and financial assistances webpage has information on these grants and others that are also available to Master’s students.
