Visit of Cairo University to URV

Fatma Ashour, from Cairo University, visited the URV on 21 January. The aim of the visit was to move forward in various academic projects with the School of Engineering (ETSE) and the School of Chemical Engineering (ETSEQ). Cairo University and URV have been cooperating closely for many years
Fatma Ashour is the director of the Department of Chemical Engineering in Cairo. On her last visit, she met representatives of ETSE and ETSEQ to plan two Study Abroad programs. In these two programs, Egyptian students will travel to Tarragona to study and enjoy the privileged setting of the URV.
Also next year, Cairo University students will come to study the master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Production at the ETSEQ with the prospect of eventually creating a joint master’s degree issued by both universities.
Dr Ashour was also welcomed by URV’s vice-rector for Internationalization, Dr. Mar Gutiérrez- Colon, and by Charo Romano, director of the Centre for Lifelong Learning and the URV Foundation.
