The URV hosts the 3rd ISEP Iberia Meeting
The event brought together representatives of Spanish and Portuguese universities who are members of the International Student Exchange Programme (ISEP) with the United States
The award of an honorary URV doctorate to honour the personal and professional career of this world-renowned viticulturist and businessman was proposed by the Faculty of Oenology. The investiture was held on 21st October in the Auditorium of the Offices of the Rector
This meeting brings together representatives from each member institution and is held twice a year. The 22nd edition has been held at the URV as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations, on 18 and 19 September. The URV has also participated for the 7th consecutive year in the International Student Seminar organised by the network in conjunction with Hiroshima University
Another delegation from this university came to Tarragona to meet URV academics and students from their own university who are studying at the URV and to visit the URV’s Centre for Hispanic Studies
“Times Higher Education” (THE) has published its ranking of the best universities in the world. As in the previous ranking, the URV has been placed between the positions 401 and 500 out of the 980 universities that are included in the ranking. It is the same position that the URV achieved in the Shanghai ranking, in which it has been included for the first time this year
The professors Antoni Nomdedeu and Àngel Urquizu have established relations with many Asian institutions and have a comprehensive knowledge of different cultures from the continent. They have been appointed by the rector as the URV’s Asian Envoys to assist in the work carried out by the Office of the vice-Rector for Internationalisation
During the visit, professor Pradeep Mathur contacted various research groups and visited their laboratories and the Scientific Resources Service. The visit concluded with a meeting with the rector and the vice-rector for Scientific and Research Policy with a view to establishing future agreements

The Deputy Mayor of Györ visits the URV
The Deputy Mayor of the Hungarian city was accompanied by the mascot of the European Youth Olympic Festival which is to be held in Györ in July 2017. The visit coincided with the presentation of the mascot for the Mediterranean Games, which will take place in Tarragona in the same year
