New international collaboration model with the University of Arizona

The URV will collaborate as a Study Abroad site of the University of Arizona and partner in a micro-campus programme

Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and University of Arizona (UA) have visited each other and plans for a mutually beneficial and fruitful collaboration are well underway. The URV delegation visited the UA in the USA in January. During the short but very fruitful visit to the University of Arizona, the representatives of URV had the chance to meet their counterparts and discuss the feasibility of offering double degree programmes in the micro-campus format and of the URV becoming a Study Abroad site for the University of Arizona.

The first option would enable the URV students to study for a double degree, thus giving them qualifications from both the URV and the University of Arizona. Under the second option, the UA would send a significant number of their students to the URV, whilst also allowing URV students to spend a semester or a year in Tucson, Arizona.

The delegation consisted of the Director of the School of Chemical Engineering, Josep Bonet; a member of the Faculty of Chemistry, Javier López; a member of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Laia Pié; and the head of the International Center, Marina Casals.
