Last November 20, the Equality Council of the Faculty of Tourism and Geography was established.

The functions of the new body are the prevention of sexist violence and discrimination, the attention to people who may have been victims of these actions, the awareness of the university community, and the promotion of the inclusion of the gender perspective in the teaching and research.

The Equality Council is made up of doctors Òscar Saladié, Caterina Cimolai, and Joan Alberich, head of equality at the center, as representatives of Teaching and Research Staff; Cristina Fornos, Núria Molné, and Francesc Xavier Llauradó, on behalf of the Technical, Management and Administration and Services Staff; and Laura Mulet, as the student representative.

The event was attended by the Commissioner for Equality, Diversity, and Welfare of Rovira i Virgili University, Víctor Merino.
