The URV expands welcoming activities for international students for the 2022-2023 academic year

They promote environmental awareness through cultural proposals

The Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) has extended its welcoming activities through a joint initiative between the International Center and the Environmental Unit of the Office of Social Engagement. Over the past few months, three activities have been organized to showcase the environmental and cultural richness of the Tarragona region.

These engaging activities include a Mediterranean plant workshop, a scenic hike, and a guided tour of the renowned “Pont del Diable” (Devil’s Bridge), as well as a captivating coastal walk. Participants have had the opportunity to explore the local flora, fauna, gastronomy, fossils, and monuments. The number of attendees and their subsequent feedback have been overwhelmingly positive.

These results underline the value of these activities as healthy cultural endeavors that foster respect for the environment, while also facilitating networking opportunities among international students at URV. Encouraged by this success, the university is already planning new editions for the upcoming academic year.

The URV continues to prioritize the integration and enrichment of its diverse student community, reinforcing its commitment to environmental awareness and cultural appreciation.
