The Universitat Rovira and Virgili will celebrate its Festival on Thursday, 23 March in the Camp de Mart gardens in Tarragona with a varied programme of recreational and cultural activities throughout the day. For the first time, the event is co-organised by the URV and Tarragona City Council.

The celebration will kick off at 11 a.m. with the charanga band “Pujats de To” at the Catalunya Campus. From this moment on, classes will be suspended and the party will begin in the Camp de Mart gardens. The programme will feature the opening addresses of former students and influencers Albert Pagà “Berti” and Aida Roca “La Filòloga de Guardia”, an electronic aperitif with DJ Trapella, a section for games and URV student associations, an open mic talent competition and a final concert. The groups Figa Flawas, JazzWoman and DJ Ceba are on the bill to bring the festival to an end.

In total, there will be a dozen activities, which can be consulted on the website of the Festival.

Reservation of lunch and bus tickets

The festival aims to be an opportunity for the whole university community to come together. For this reason, free buses will be made available so that students can come to Tarragona from the Terres de l’Ebre, Vila-seca, Bellissens, the Baix Penedès and Vilafranca del Penedès campuses. Places on the buses can be booked through the website of the Festival.

There will also be a big, open-air lunch, for which it is necessary to book tickets on the same website.

The event is coordinated and organised by the URV Festival committee, made up of teaching and research staff (PDI), administration and services staff (PAS), students and student associations, who have been working since the beginning of the academic year to prepare the programme and logistics.
