The PUC website has been relaunched in a testing phase

Documents that are not available at the URV can now be requested from other libraries

The Préstec Consorciat (PUC) or Consortium Loan Service (in English) has been resumed from January 17. This loan service, which is still in the beta phase, integrates a new management system.

The PUC is a free, fast, and easy loan service that allows users to request documents that are not available or are not on loan at the URV. Library users can now request documents through the URV search engine to other libraries that participate in the PUC service.

Request a document in this way:

  • Through the library search engine of each institution, by clicking on the CCUC option.
  • Through the “Request by PUC” option.

Consider these issues when requesting a document:

  • In the request form, you must choose the library where you would like to pick up the document.
  • The system automatically chooses the institution that will lend the document.
  • If the document cannot be provided, you will receive a cancellation notice immediately.

From the tab “My Account” you can check the status of loans requested through the PUC service. Users will receive notifications about PUC loans via email, which are sent by the library that owns the document.

Library users who have PUC loans pending to return before summer will find them in the “My Account” tab and they can still return or renew them.
