A delegation from the Universidad Anáhuac Xalapa in Mexico, featuring its Rector, Luis Linares, and Elí Ricardo Marín, academic general director, visited the Universitat Rovira i Virgili on 28 May. The two institutions are already joined by a collaboration agreement and so the purpose of the visit was to strengthen ties and to promote innovation and internationalisation.
The delegation met representatives of the Faculty of Legal Sciences, namely Antoni Pigrau, dean of the faculty, Ángel Urquizu, professor of Financial and Tax Law and director of the new Chair of Customs Studies, and Jordi Barrat, professor of Constitutional Law. They also met the director of the Chair for the University and Knowledge Region, Francesc Xavier Grau.
The visit resulted in an agreement to promote and expand student mobility and to generate opportunities through the relations that both universities have with the port authorities of their own cities, in particular the URV’s Chair of Customs Studies.
