The Cheminformatics and Nutrition research group of the University has designed a machine learning system that predicts recurrent mutations of coronaviruses, information that will allow new drugs to be developed

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded to Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer Doudna, in recognition of their research into “molecular scissors”, which can rewrite the code of life
This has been established in the URV’s Contingency Plan for the 2020-21 academic year, which stipulates how all members of the URV community must act in order to prevent the spread of the disease on its campuses
All courses will be taught following a blended format and priority will be given to the face-to-face activities of first-year bachelor’s degrees
