Artificial intelligence fails in grammar
A research project led by the URV in conjunction with the UAB shows that human beings recognize grammatical errors in a sentence while AI does not

Stanford University has updated its list of leading researchers with data from the year 2022. The URV ranks third in Spain and Catalonia in terms of the percentage of researchers among the permanent teaching and research staff
The finding has been confirmed in an experiment by researchers from the URV, the University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, who propose a new approach to the debate on the advantages and disadvantages of bilingualism: a good performance in one area of linguistic ability may mean lower accuracy or speed in another, and vice-versa

Italian students train online at the URV
This week sees the start of the first online version of the URV’s Study Abroad programme, involving 53 students in Translation from the Università Ca’Foscari Venezia. The course is the result of collaboration between Ester Torres, coordinator of the University Master’s Degree in Professional English-Spanish Translation, and the Italian university

Half of the URV’s 55 university masters offered in 2020-21 will be taught online or combination of online and classroom-based learning (blended) or will allow students to decide if they want to study in the classroom or online. Pre-registration is now open on the University’s website
