The Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution is conducting an international search for a new director after Eudald Carbonell announced that he was standing down in order to spend more time carrying out research in Africa. Among the competing nominees, the Dr. Estela Mariné´s thesis stood out for its innovativeness, scientific rigor, and relevance to the tourism field

Seminar on the Chinese university system
On 15 January the Association of Catalan Public Universities (ACUP in its Catalan accronym) organized a seminar on “The Chinese university system: finding avenues of collaboration between China and Catalonia”, which was held at the Technical University of Catalonia on its Barcelona Campus.
