Xènia Roviralta is a student at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. She is 24 years old and is in the final year of her degree in Food Bioprocess Engineering. She is also a representative on the Aurora Student Council, which gives support and advises the senior management of the universities that are part of the Aurora network to promote the common objectives.
Marouane Laabbas el Guennouni is an example of what students can achieve in European institutions because between March and July of this year he undertook a paid internship at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. There, he was responsible for compiling the legal doctrine that would guide judges in resolving cases. He is this year’s UNICAT ambassador for the URV, a figure that exists in Catalan universities to inform students about job and internship opportunities in the EU.

The Open Learning programme is an initiative of the URV’s Doctoral School that aims to give students access to additional multidisciplinary knowledge without any additional cost to their registration fees
Students and University staff must notify the URV’s internal eCOVID application if they have symptoms compatible with those of the virus, if they have been in close contact with a confirmed case or if they have received the results of a PCR or antigen test
The aim is to increase the percentage of vaccinations among younger people in order to increase safety at the start of the academic year. Vaccination points are also open to anyone over the age of 12 years
The number of individuals on the University’s premises may not exceed 70% of capacity at any time and the use of a mask will be mandatory everywhere.

Jennifer Masip will present the paper at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections, which brings together more than 4000 leading researchers in HIV from almost 90 countries. Ms Masip is a member of the Infection and Immunity Research Group of the Joan XXIII University Hospital in Tarragona, the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute and the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
