The URV Festival repeats its success

The first URV Festival: a great success
Figa Flawas, JazzWoman and DJ Ceba top the bill at the Festival attended by hundreds of people
Students on the International Master’s Degree in Wine Tourism Innovation are trained in wine tourism and marketing, wine production and cultural heritage to enhance the development of wine tourism. They are now on their way to Bordeaux and Porto after their stay at the URV
The VitaGlobal project, coordinated by URV researcher Joan Miquel Canals, transfers the knowledge of European experts in wine science to universities around the world
The URV is offering new grants for students applying for full-time master’s degrees until 29 July
Dimitrios Kioroglou, from Oenology Faculty, is the first fellow of the Martí i Franquès COFUND Doctoral Programme to achieve the PhD Degree
The Learning and Research Resources Centre (CRAI) is only open for loans and the URV’s sporting activities have been postponed
The new measure agreed by the Catalan universities will not affect research activity
This has been established in the URV’s Contingency Plan for the 2020-21 academic year, which stipulates how all members of the URV community must act in order to prevent the spread of the disease on its campuses
All courses will be taught following a blended format and priority will be given to the face-to-face activities of first-year bachelor’s degrees
The move online and the opportunity to study part-time help students as they prepare for their professional careers
Classes will finish in accordance with the academic calendar but the assessment period will be extended until 16 July for students who are not undergoing continuous assessment and for subjects that cannot be assessed online
Half of the URV’s 55 university masters offered in 2020-21 will be taught online or combination of online and classroom-based learning (blended) or will allow students to decide if they want to study in the classroom or online. Pre-registration is now open on the University’s website
All URV buildings and facilities will be closed except for the essential basic services, mechanisms to ensure non-presential working and teaching are established, and the deadlines for internal URV regulations and procedures are suspended until further notice
Teaching will continue at a distance, as far as possible
